Simexmin´2021

The SIMEXMIN has been designed to be the appropriate environment to foster interaction of industry professionals with the academia and government sectors to proactively discuss the future of mineral exploration and mining in Brazil.

The SIMEXMIN 2021 will take place in a context of recent changes in the Brazilian mineral legislation together with other structural reforms in the mineral sector by the federal government aimed at making the country’s mineral industry more competitive under a sustainable social and environmental scenario. In addition, the mineral sector had the best performance among all Brazilian economic activities between the fourth quarter of 2020 and first quarter of 2021, due to the increase in the global demand for mineral commodities.

Under this perspective, the IX SIMEXMIN 2021 program will bring a wealth live and streamed talks delivered by industry, academia and government experts, organized into thematic sessions, such as Main trends in the Brazilian Mining Sector, Mineral Commodity Market, Emergent Mineral Provinces in Brazil, Social and Environmental Sustainability in Exploration and Mining, Constraining Footprints in Mineral Systems, Mineral Resource and Reserve Declaration, Strategic Minerals and Agro-minerals, Geotechnologies applied to Mineral Exploration, Early and Advanced Stage Projects, and Geometallurgy.
